From the Editor: Justin Makler:
"OK it's true I live on the East Coast and I often forget about the "fly over states" However, I spent 18 years in the Midwest exploring as much as I could. In fact most of my youth was spent in the woods hunting for new places to hide out from all of the people that wanted to kick my ass. But this site isn't about me, it's about you the of the Midwest and that's why we need your stories.
The concept for this website came to me after moving to NYC about 8 years ago and after picking up a copy of Weird NJ. I've wanted to start this for a while now but it wasn't until a recent trip through the Midwest that inspired me to actually get off my ass and do it. - Two days after starting this site I found a really great site focusing on the Midwest by Troy Taylor called Prairie Ghosts. He just released a book on Illinois with the Weird NJ guys, which you should check out here. We are not discouraged because there is plenty of content for our two sites and 50 more like them.
I know what your thinking now, "So who is the we and our that your talking about?" Well right now it's only myself my wife Debbie who is acting as Fact Checker and runs our Quality Control Department. We also have a life long friend, Jason Ray who recently moved back to the Midwest after spending years on both Coasts. I guess the voices kept calling to him and he finally gave in. So, it's just the three of us and we have HUGE plans for this site and need your help because the only way this site is going to stay interesting is if our readers are willing to send in their own stories of local haunts, freaks of nature, UFO sightings, strange objects, roadside attractions or just plane strange stories (As long as it's in the Midwest).
We are also looking for interviewers/columnist/writers, illustrators, photographers and programmers to help out. We can't pay you at this point but maybe when that big Budwiser sponsorship comes through. So why should you help us? Well it's because the voices are telling you to, (listen to the voices.)"

Something come to mind, email us now! OK, nothing comes to mind, well take a look at the following awesome from the Shadowlands site of haunted spots for inspiration. (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska South Dakota, and North Dakota.)
And most importantly remember, what doesn't kill us will only make us stranger.
Justin"

Excellent Site!!! Funny it took me this long to find you, and quite by accident at that. But, trust me, I understand what you're going after here. In fact, I've just recently finished up "Tales of the Midwest," my new book on Lulu. You can read it (free download available on my blog) at:
