Dance of the Dragonflies

FLY
My backyard Houston, Texas 07/05/08 @ 6:44 PM
Dressed in dewdrops of dawn, when all darkness has gone They go to a place between heaven and hell, the place where the dragonflies dwell. You know the place filled with colour and light . In a hovering way, they put on a disarming display And dance to the king of flight . < Previous Day<<>>

The Good Zoo of PA

Grass

Good Zoo, PA on 05/25/06 @ 1:41:42 PM
Testing out my new 80-400 Nikor lens. To bad the Eagle wouldn’t corroborate with me on this shot. I tried everything to make him look to the left outside of throwing a live mouse into the cage. < Previous Day<<>>

Random thoughts: We had theater in the Midwest, we put a lawn chairs in front of the double wide and we would watch the neighbors fight. We called it theater of the absorbed. < Previous Day<<>>

Peanut Snatchers

rails.jpg"_Johnson

Central park on 11/30/05 @ 12:44:21 PM
This story has nothing to do with the photo above, what is there to say about a photo of a squirrel stealing a peanut:
The other day I was over by the Hudson river and I over hear this lady asking her friend, “So where is Alcatraz? I thought you could see it from here.” Her friend just shrugs and I can’t help but interject, “Well, it’s really hard to see from here.” At which the women replies, ‘In the postcards and the movies it looks like it’s really close to the shore” “Well it helps if your standing on the left Coast.”, I say with a grin. “Oh! How do we get there then?” she says with a quizzical look. I can’t help but reply, “Just ask any cab driver, he’ll get you there

Welcome back to the Right Coast

child.jpg

Location: Under the Brooklyn Bridge on 07/17/05 @ 1:24:36 PM

We had a picnic, the bridge sheltered us from the rain. This was our perfect day. We danced with the bees, stomped in the puddles left by the rain. This was our perfect day.

Dreaming of something bigger

Say hello to Jeremiah. I learned today that lighting an aquarium while not cooking the fish isn't easy and getting a stubborn fish to strike a pose is even harder.

Taking the skin heads bowling

Taking the skin heads bowling. Actually I was taking my nieces and nephews to the St. Louis Zoo. There was a lot of chaos and drama and at times I remember thinking that it might have been easier to have taken the skin heads bowling.

Peace on earth and ...

122204_white_bird
Location: Under the Roosevelt Island Tram on 59th - 12/22/2004 @ 02:13:08 PM

Peace on earth and birdshit on mankind. This pigeon was sitting right above the steps to the tram watching for holiday targets. As you can see he has his sights set on a target now. I guess they do says it’s good luck when you get shit on by a bird. Damn those happy people trying to make bad things sound like happy events.
